Just Another Day...

Right! New day, new blog!

I’ve had quite a productive day today! My tip of a room (which I literally have to tidy every day to stay tidy) has now been sorted out! Crap thrown out! Room moved around! And now it’s all tidy! Still a few bits of tat lying about but that’s tidy enough for me.

Whilst doing this I have been looking stylish as always :P and here is todays outfit!! Nothing spectacular, as I am just sat in my house tidying up, but it’s nice to get dressed and at least look half decent!

Cardigan – Charity shop - £5 (in love with this cardigan)
Blouse – H&M – I brought it a long time ago! But it’s a favourite of mine!
Shorts- Primark – my bargain of £5!
Sunflower earrings- Topshop- also from a while back, my favourite flower!
Blue Ring- Dorothy Perkins- like £1 in the sale! Bargain!
Peace Ring- Miss Selfridge - £5… but I HAD to get this :P

I wore my hair up today. I'm not a huge fan of having my hair up, I prefer my hair to look a bit more wild and uncontrollable, but it really was a bit too mad today to make it look even slightly tamed. so I had to shove it up, still got the sunflower in though! :)

I’ve come across a lot of spare buttons whilst tidying my room, so I might make myself a little project and jazz up an old bag or a top or something. You get all these spare buttons with clothes and I never even use them! I must have kept them all for a reason though ay? So I might start rummaging around my room to see what I can adjust and spruce up a bit! :)

I have so much chocolate in my room left over from Christmas! (So much for losing weight) how can you diet when there’s a secret stash of chocolate in you room! One of the larger bits of chocolate I have is a VERY large box of Cadburys milk tray. . . I wrote a little note and left the box in the kitchen; hopefully mom, dad, sisters and nieces will take the hint and scoff the lot!! :) I even made the little sign more attractive and drew a little border!

Talking about drawing, I also came across my old sketch books. I used to draw quite a lot, mainly just little cartoon characters! But I procrastinated a bit and looked through them all for a good ten minutes! Think I might start drawing again! In between all my blogging and fashion websites and working and tidying and seeing my boyfriend and all that stuff you know  :/

here’s an insight to how I live. Right, so my sister came in from school, I was upstairs tidying as you know, and she opens the door singing 'Bohemian rhapsody' by Queen, I turned my music off and she was just singing it at the top of her voice so when she stopped, I belted out the next line at the top of my voice, she then she repeated the next line from downstairs, then we had a bit of a harmonising singing duet, her downstairs and me upstairs. I must say I do feel sorry for our neighbours. My sister plays a little bit of guitar! And since she has finally started a blog ;)(http://kookysophie.blogspot.com/) we might even grace you with a little video sing song of ourselves one day! So yeah, look forward to that!
I’ve babbled on for far too long now. So goodbye for now :) <3

THE SHORTS!

Quick post, as promised, to show you my DIY bleached shorts! I saw some the other day and thought I should get me a pair of them! But why when you can make them yourself?
I cut up these jeans a few years back and wore them as shorts, basically because back then I didn’t have any shorts in my wardrobe! And it got hot and I needed some! They’ve been hidden in my wardrobe ever since! So they were perfect to spill bleach all over :)

unfortunately I couldn't get a before they were cut photo obviously, but I did get a photo of the colour they used to be...

so I put some bleach in a spray bottle and sprayed the hell out of the front of the shorts. I did this in a few stages because I’d come back to them and they wouldn’t be as bleached as I wanted them to be so I gave it a good couple of coats! the bleach doesn’t show up straight away so it’s best to do a little bit and then come back to see what they look like! This is what the front looks like now (before the bleach had completely dried) :)

I did the back slightly different and created a bit of a splodgy, mottled effect, I think it looks quite good :)

I also got a serrated knife and sawed at the material to give it a cut up effect in the material and then went over it with a scourer which made it all vintagey and bobbly looking :)

SO, now I have a new addition to my wardrobe. The shorts I never wear have been re-invented! And now have a much loved position in my wardrobe! I’ll be wearing them over leggings and tights and bare it all in the summer (when the sun finally bloody arrives)

put it together with my beloved peace sign top just to get an outfit sorted with it! :) free item to create outfits with. DONE :)

The not so Exiting Adventures of Tanya Reynolds

Quick blog before work! (Yay more hours! which means more money to shop with!) I have been very boring recently, I haven’t really been anywhere, or seen anything. I did go and see the Muppets at the cinema the other day though, not advised, shittest film ever, we actually walked out half way through as it kept bursting into (rather rubbish) songs. Other than that exciting adventure, I haven’t done much at all! I’m waiting for payday! And also dreading the small amount I’m going to receive, but I do want to go to the vintage shop in Walsall as soon as I get paid! Haha!

Me and my sister are going to see the ballet on Tuesday and Wednesday! We are very cultural like that see: P haha! Well if you didn’t know, I’m actually a qualified dance teacher, more freestyle and street than ballet, but I do a few ballet classes! Nowhere near as amazing as the people we will be watching though! So were going to see Swan Lake and Beauty and the Beast! YAY! I said we should try and dress all elegant to trick everyone into thinking where dead posh and that, we may even put an accent on too! Because let’s face it, the Black Country accent isn't all that is it?

SO this is what I wore yesterday, our new favorite spot to take photos at the minute is the abandoned house next door to us, it has a bit of an olden day look to the garden, ours is too modern, so we jump over a lot of rubbish and up a wall to get our perfect shooting location! :)

Beatles Top- Topshop
Skirt & Tights- Newlook
Boots- Gift

Denim Shorts- Internacionale
Knitted Vest - Charity Shop
Boots - Newlook

I decided to get my Beatles top on today <3 if you don’t listen to the Beatles you should. Fact. I brought this top quite a while back from Topshop! I can’t quite remember how much it was... about £25? And also my beloved burgundy skirt from Newlook which just goes with every single top in my wardrobe! Got to love it! My sister joined in with the fashion photo business also! I’m trying to persuade her to write a blog, but as of yet she’s not quite convinced as she says she "would be rubbish" because she "can’t talk to people very well"... strange girl.

Also decided to sell some clothes on fleebay! Me and Sophie got together and decided we have way too many clothes that we have worn once or never worn and won’t wear again! I’m going to post a few photos of some of the things on here and then you can check out eBay if anything catches your eye :)

RIGHT! I did promise bleached shorts look today, and I’m not one to break a promise, however this is just a quick one before work today, so what I shall do is take a photo when I get back from work and post the look straight away!! PROMISE!! XD no promises broken, I did say I’d do it with my next blog and technically it’s the same day, so it’s fine. :)

PLEASE FOLLOW ME! not that I’m begging or anything :/ but I only have 5 followers and that’s a bit rubbish, so if you read me, please follow me if you like my blog! Plus, my boyfriend writes a music blog and he only has one follower and I want to make him jealous of my many followers! MUHAHAHAH! :)

ILL SEE YA SOOOOON!

Just A Girl Living Inside A Dream

Haven’t written my blog for a few days again! Mainly because I’ve been at work the past 2 days, so it’s impossible to take photos of my outfits as my uniform has to be all black. Boring. But I’ve got a day off today! So some serious Sims playing has been done, and now for updating my blog and all that jazz. Also I now have my first blog number one fan, my younger sister, who gets agitated when she asks me if I’ve written a new blog yet and I reply with no :) bless!

Here is my outfit of today!

Coat-River Island (from years ago!)
Tights- Primark

Cardigan-Charity shop £5

Robot Earrings -Topshop

Camera necklace - Topshop

Frig Necklace - Topshop

Frog Ring - Topshop
Peace Ring- DIVA @ Miss Selfridge's

I decided to wear my stripy dress today! I brought this dress for when I went to see The Kooks (my favorite band) because I wanted to attract the lead singer into marrying me. Didn’t quite happen but I did get pretty close to his face. Mmm.
The dress was from Topshop and is still available! Click here

£26 for a dress isn’t bad. I actually ALWAYS wear dresses; I just think they’re so versatile and comfortable! Topshop's variety of flippy dresses are amazing. I literally have this dress in 5 different designs! They are just really flattering! They cling where you want them to and flare out where they need to!
As you can see my green knitted vest is back! My purchase from the begging of the week but this time worn over a dress! :) My boyfriend’s mom can knit. She actually knitted me some cushion covers for my room (I’ll add a picture) and she said she could probably knit me another of these! So I’m going to buy her some nice wool and put an order in for a knitted top! It will be a one of a kind anyway!

as you can tell, I FOUND A NEW LOCATION! there's a small ally way behind my boyfriend's house, so whilst walking home today with my sister i dumped my bags and told her to take the photos for my blog! This is definitely more suited to take my outfit photos then in the mirror in my tiny bedroom full of junk!! quite pleased with the overall look! :)

So after my Sims playing I thought I better get something done with my day, tidied half of my room after a lot of procrastination and then my nieces arrived! Of course they decide to trash my room a bit but in the process I decided to style them up “Aunty Tanya” Style… this was the outcome!!!

You must admit, they look gorgeous! My mom and older sister said they looked like they were dressed like hippies and a bit like how I dress; my little sister looked at them and said “WOW, you should dress them like this every day!” I’m not saying that they could go out of the house like it, but they do look pretty cool, If I ever make a small person, I will deffo have to shop around for some extremely vintage/indie/hippy kind of clothes!! I’ll make mini me people!! XD

I have discovered that there is a vintage shop now open in Walsall! WHERE I LIVE! I haven’t had the chance (or the money) to go up there yet, but I will have to go on a little adventure to find it soon! I’m sure they will have a regular customer for life!!  I might ask if I can dress their mannequins or something… :)

I have also completed bleaching my shorts! But I need to wash them before I wear them else I may actually pass out from the fumes…. So yeah, once again, they WILL be on my next blog: P I promise this time!!

SEE YA!
