I BROUGHT 2 NEW SKIRTS!

So much for not shopping for a month eh? However I have done PRETTY well considering, and I was still in budget for my week (yes that's right, I'm actually budgeting. boo.)

However I'm only going to show you the ONE skirt I brought, Gives you something to look forward to on my future blog posts ay?

I AM WEARING
H&M SKIRT - £5
CHARITY SHOP SHIRT - £3
D.I.Y SOCKS - £0
D.I.Y BOW - £0.30
DOROTHY PERKINS BELT - £3
BROWN BROGUES - £6

TOTAL OUTFIT COST = £ 17.30

Now who says you have to be rich to look good? there is really no excuse to dress scruffy when you can buy a whole outfit for less that £20. GOK WAN EAT YOUR HEART OUT! ;)

D.I.Y Socks
I'll tell you all about how these were created. I had these tights, which I used to love, and wear quite often, so of course, Typically, they got laddered and had all sorts of holes everywhere. The bottom of the tights were in great condition, it was just from the knees up where things went down hill.
SO instead of just throwing them out, or keeping them and never wearing them because they have holes in, I created a new addition to my wardrobe! I cut the tights, just to over my knees, and they work lovely as a pair of socks!
So next time you are thinking of throwing away your printed tights, don't! just get out a pair of scissors ;)

D.I.Y BOW
I can't really class this as D.I.Y, as I didn't do much D.I.Y at all to create this!

All I did was buy some ribbon from my local craft shop, and then cut it, and tied it just under the collar of the shirt to create extra detail. I'm going to so this with a lot of my shirts I think! It just makes the shirt look way better!
The only thing I might do next time is sew the ribbon underneath the back of the collar, as it tended to twist round as I was walking.
I also Singed the ends of the ribbon on a low flamed lighter once I had cut it to the right length to prevent it from fraying.

I must apologise for the lack of blogging I have done lately! I've been so busy! I went to Blackpool the weekend too! But not to worry, I'm back on track and I have A LOT of blog posts lined up!!

SPEAK SOON & ENJOY THE SUN!

PEACE & LOVE

Lock up your wardrobes!

So I had my sisters house for the week, looking after her dog and just making sure nobody robbed the place.

Stupidly my sister left her wardrobe unbolted up. If you leave me unattended with a wardrobe, I will raid it, and I will wear the clothes. The first target was the dress I wore in my last post. I felt slightly bad about this steal, because it even had all the tags left on it, but I just couldn't resist it!!!

My older sister is not really like me and my little sister Sophie. She wears nice clothes, but she wears normal clothes, still pretty at that! but even I know that the dress from my previous post hasn't been worn yet, is because secretly she's scared to leave the house wearing a dress with a slightly different print on to what others would wear!

I also found this pretty number, which i have also never seen her wear. why the hell not I don't know. its so pretty!

The house has sort of got like, 2 front rooms? the one is decorated all modern and pretty, but they just haven't had chance to decorate the front room, which personally I don't think they should. It made an excellent background for my blog photos!

In fact I liked the background so much that I got carried away taking photos. I still really want to get a SLR camera to take my blog photo's with, Any suggestions?

I AM WEARING:
NEWLOOK DRESS NEWLOOK CARDIGAN (BOTH COURTESY OF MY SISTER) BROWN BROUGES YEARS OLD BELT

UNTIL NEXT TIME!

{PEACE OUT!}

Tribes, Baby

We went to see The Tribes at the 02 academy in Birmingham a few days ago. Suprisingly it was a vey small room! It was quite packed, but we managed to squeeze our way to the first quarter of the crowd and got quite close to the front. If you don't mind almost getting trampled on during a gig, then near the front of the stage is definately the best, I didn't expect the crowd to be quite as lively as it was, their songs aren't too heavy or fast, they are more chilled out, that didnt really stop the crowd from going mental.

At one point during the gig my boyfriend Alex decided to push his way almost to the very front of the stage, I just followed behind him smiling at the people he was barging past. lol. It was a good job I did follow him though because at this very moment the lead singer from the band came over to where we had pushed our way to and started touching peoples hands! I don't really understand why people get so mad about this? but I did have a bit of a 'proud of my self' smile on my face as I told my sister he touched a section of my hand. not even fully grabbed it, he kind of just touched my hand between my thumb and forefinger, but this was quite exiting really. I ran back to Sophie and said "He touched my hand :) it was warm aand sweaty(nice)" ofcourse with the proud smiley face on.

ANYWAY! here is what I wore! I had been sitting my older sisters house for the week, and informed her via text that leaving her wardrobe without being chained up and bolted was a bad idea, and fully raided it for the week. here is what I decided to wear to the gig (courtesy of Kelly's Wardrobe)

I'm not too sure what's wrong with my face, I look like I'm on some kind of drug, which I can assure you I am not. This dress is so cute! No idea why my sister never wears it! The print is actually loads of little post stamps and envelopes, it's really pretty! It's a bad photo, but its the only one I got of my outfit, I was in a rush to get to the gig on time after work and just completley forgot to take any photos after the gig (that and I looked a bit red and blotchy after pushing about in the crowd...)

HERE ARE A FEW PHOTOS I TOOK DURING THE GIG!

If you dont listen to the tribes you should, theyre just a great band to listen to when your in a bit of a chilled out mood, here is one of my faves!

I'm a professional photographer. Yeah.

So my boyfriend, Alex, does media at uni and had to arrange a sort of gig type thingy. The night consisted of 3 acoustic acts and 2 bands. I was the 'Proffesional' Photographer for the night, with my ever so expensive camera (courtesy of my uncle, who actually is a proffesional photographer)

It was really fun meeting all the bands and photographing them all, I mean it wasn't as if they were famous or anything, but it was just alot of fun, I could seriously do it for a living! (I wish!)

Here are a few of the photographs I took of the bands before the gig started.

I also took a few photo's of the bands performing, unfortunately I got a little snap happy taking photographs earlier so was limited to the amount of photos I could take. I did still get some decent shots!!

All of the acts where actually really good! I was quite proud of my boyfriend for organising alot of the event, bless him, since then me and him have actually spoke about putting a few gigs on ourself, which would be majorly fun!
